Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a different assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and implementing sanctions," was stated in a online statement.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were working to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Multiple people hurt in the strikes on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The assaults follow nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Moscow was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
